1 Corinthians Chapter 14

This chapter deals a lot with order in a church service. It discusses speaking in tongues, prophets and women. Notice speaking in tongues or praying in tongues is in the Bible!  The question then is it something that is still practiced today?

I plan once we return to this chapter to discuss this further, but today let’s look at verse 33: “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.”

This is a great verse to remember!  God is not the author of confusion. So if there is confusion, it’s not God!  Please read James chapter 3:14-17.  It gives a good example of what confusion is and what the peace of God is.  I would advise you to not make decisions from a place of confusion, but let the peace of God lead you!!  Remember Jesus said, “And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know (the voice of strangers)”.  ‭‭John‬ ‭10:4-5‬ ‭
