1 Corinthians 12

Read 1 Corinthians Chapter 12

“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:”

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12:1‬

Verses 8-10, name 9 different gifts that we call the gifts of the Holy Spirit. These gifts are supernatural in use and imparted by the Holy Spirit. That means a person just can’t select them.  Verse 11 says, “But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”  Verse 31 and 1 Corinthians 14:1  says that we should desire these gifts. I pray that God will use His gifts in me!  I have seen and personally experienced these gifts at times in my life. They can truly be extraordinary when in operation.  Once I prayed with about 15 complete strangers (teenagers) in a city park. I led them all in a prayer to receive Jesus, then I prayed for them for a safe trip back to their homes.   As I prayed I suddenly felt or sensed the word “orphan" in my heart, so I prayed for any that had lost a parent. When it ended I asked one of them why they were so receptive to listen to me. The young girl said, “maybe because we are orphans."   WOW!  It still excites me! That was a word of knowledge.

So folks, commit to learning about the gifts, desire and ask for them, and keep a close relationship with the Lord so you can “HEAR” when he speaks in your heart. Then just go and be a blessing.  At the right time and place He will move!!!
