Read 1 Corinthians Chapter 4

“Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.”

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭4:2

The word steward means manager or someone who is in charge of something. Now notice the requirement to be a steward. He must be faithful!  I have met people who want responsibilities but have not been faithful to serve others in the meantime.

1 Timothy 1:12 says  “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,”  ‭‭Timothy‬ ‭became a great leader after first being a great servant for Paul and God.  Remember this folks, Jesus said  "If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.”  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s just a fact.  If you are not faithful to consistently serve first, God cannot give you greater responsibilities.  So just focus on what is before you, do your best, and God will add and promote you in time!
