1 Corinthians 9

Read 1 Corinthians Chapter 9

“Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:19‬ ‭NLT

Verses 19-23 are fascinating to me. They reveal the heart of God, and how He will attempt to reach people wherever they are in life. When Paul was with the Jews, he did not seek to deliberately offend them.  He would honor the law, but preach Jesus to them.  When Paul was with the gentiles, he would attempt to honor customs, but preach Jesus to them!

Folks, in my life I have seen and heard of cowboys/country boys preaching at rodeos and farms.  I have seen long-haired bikers with biker cloths preaching Jesus to bikers.  I've seen surfers preaching, sports figures preaching, rappers preaching, ex druggies and gang members preaching, prisoners preaching, kids preaching, women preaching, older people preaching and on and on!!!   Why?  Because God so loved this world and did not want anybody to perish without Jesus!  He is still the one that will leave the 99 for the 1.

Let’s not be to quick to judge when we see different types of people sharing Jesus.  You never know; they might just be the vessel of our loving God!!!!
