1 Thessalonians chapter 4

Read 1 Thessalonians chapter 4

“God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—” 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 NLT

I know that the topic of sexual sin is not a comfortable one, and it’s not something that you hear much about from me off the pulpit. But, as you continue to read the letters you will see that it is addressed.

When Paul spoke of the works of the flesh, sins of a sexual nature were the first mentioned.

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,”

Galatians 5:19 NKJV

Please understand that God is the creator of sexual intimacy, he is not against it, but he has clearly set boundaries for us to abide by. So, as you continue to read pay attention to what the Bible says is healthy and unhealthy regarding sexual intimacy.
