2 Corinthians 10

2 Corinthians Chapter 10

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down (strongholds), casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing (every thought) into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”

‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭10:4-5

Folks, the enemy wants to establish a stronghold in your life. A stronghold is anything that robs you of your peace, joy and growth in the things of God. He accomplishes this by “ thoughts “.

I once heard a preacher say “you can’t keep the birds from flying over your head, but you sure can keep them from building a nest in your head”.  We can’t control everything that enters our minds, but we don’t have to believe and except everything either!  You see the devil wants us to believe the lies he speaks about us.  Folks, please understand there is a devil and not every crazy thought you have originated from you.  And yes, I can have crazy thoughts too!   But God has equipped us with the power of the Holy Spirit to cast down these wicked and crazy thoughts. Once again this is why it’s so important for us to continue to fill our minds with the word of God and to be able to identify God's thoughts for our life and not the devils!!!
