2 Corinthians 9

2 Corinthians Chapter 9

“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭9:6-7

Folks, this is speaking about money, and a offering the Corinthian church had collected.  I know the discussion of money can be uncomfortable for some, but God is very interested in how we handle money.  In Luke chapter 21 verses 1-4 , Jesus speaks of a widow woman who gave a small amount of money, but it was all she had.  He said it was more than all the rich had given.

Folks, God does not need your money, but He has made a promise that if you give bountifully, you will receive bountifully. But if you have a hard time giving, I truly believe God sees that as a lack of trust, and you will as it says reap sparingly. Folks, I so encourage you to be givers  with everything you have: your time, your words, your energy, and your money.  Remember the words of Jesus, “it’s more blessed to give, than receive.“ Acts 20:35
