Verse 3 says, "how foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?(NLT)" The Galatian church had false teachers that were attempting to bring the works of the law into their Christian walk. Trust me! The devil is still trying to get us into works. When I first got saved, it was so exciting and easy, but then I started meeting people who put a bunch of rules on me and I felt all weighed down with rules! Remember Jesus said, "My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew Chapter 11:30
