Hebrews 12

Verse 2 says “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,”

This is a key truth to having a successful Christian life.

Peter was walking on water  toward Jesus (Matthew 14), but when he saw the strong waves and winds he was terrified and began to sink. You see he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at his circumstances. I know it’s hard sometimes, but we have to keep our eyes on Him! The devil will constantly try to tell us to look at all the negative and all that’s wrong with us.  How do we keep our eyes on Jesus?  We keep our eyes on the Word. The gospel of John, Chapter 1, clearly says Jesus is the “Word”.  Let’s be determined to keep our eyes on the Word of God!!
