Read Hebrews 11

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭

Impossible!  It’s impossible to please God without faith!  God so wants us to to believe Him and trust Him even when our circumstances have not changed.  Luke’s gospel, chapter 7 is the account of the Roman centurion.  He had a sick servant and wanted Jesus to heal him.  He sent some Jewish elders to ask Jesus to heal him.  “So they earnestly begged Jesus to help the man. 'If anyone deserves your help, he does,' they said, 'for he loves the Jewish people and even built a synagogue for us.'”

Now go back and read Luke 7, The centurion said that he was not worthy of Jesus being in his house, but for Jesus to simply say the servant was healed. That would be good enough.

Well, of course he was healed, but Jesus was amazed at the man's faith.  He called it great faith.  Luke 7:9

The man was humble, good and giving, but it was his “Faith” that got his servant healed, not his good attributes.  Folks, “all things are possible to him that believes.”

Mark 9:23
