Read Hebrews 3

“but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:13

The Lord wants our hearts to stay soft and tender, but sin can and will harden our hearts.

Here are two things to remember. First, sin is deceptive.  It promises fulfillment but only creates dissatisfaction and shame. Hebrews 11:25 says this of Moses, “choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.”  Sin can bring a moment of pleasure, but it never is lasting.

Secondly, I want you to understand the importance of encouragement. We need to exhort each other often!  Pastor Hilley, my mentor always said, "You have to keep your joy!"  The Bible says that the “joy of the Lord is our strength.“

Let’s stay encouraged and full of his joy!
