Study the Epistles daily with Pastor Rick

Did you know that there are 27 books in the new testament and 260 chapters total? The epistles or letters are Romans through Jude. The letters are to me the heart and soul of the new testament, tremendous spiritual growth can happen with the letters. There are 21 letters or books as we call them, they have a total of 121 chapters. So then if you read 1 chapter from the letters a day , you will read the letters ( Romans through Jude ) 3 times in one year!!  I am telling you this will bring spiritual growth to your life! So let's get started! We will start with Galatians chapter 1 and proceed. Each day I will have a  comment for each chapter. I encourage you to say a quick prayer first, and then ask God for wisdom and understanding, then be prepared to write in your Bible or mark in your electronics. Hey, you won't understand it all the first time and you might miss a day, just resume the next day , once we get back to Galatians it starts over again, just STAY at it !! If you have any questions please ! You can ask me at church, phone or email.

Listen! Once again! This will help you!-- guaranteed!!!

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father but is of the world.”

‭‭I John‬ ‭2:15-16‬ ‭

Have you ever heard a church person say “stop being worldly" or "they are so worldly".  What does that mean other than just some religious sounding term. Really it means to have more interest or passion in the things of this world or life than a interest or passion for God, the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ!

It’s good to do some self inventory.  What do you think about most?  What do you desire and do most of the time?  Is God a part of it?

Now, don’t get me wrong.  I am going ultra strict, but if God is not a part of your daily life, something is wrong.  Folks, remember He so loves you and wants to be a part of your life. Give Him a little time each day: a little thanks, a little praise, some time in His Word.  I promise you, you will touch the heart of God!

Verse 1 “We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the (Word of Life.”) NLT

Jesus is the Word of life!  “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

‭‭

This world is filled with problems.  There are physical problems, mental, financial, relationship, job and so on. The list is long, and we certainly are not immune from them.  But, we have the “Word of Life”.  Yes!  I believe the Bible!  The Word of God has the answers to all of our problems. This is why we should be constantly filling our minds with the Word every day!  It can’t be for a day or two and then quit. I promise you again that if you keep studying the Word, in time you will have change in your life and answers to whatever problem comes your way!

Verse 9 states that the Lord is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Notice it says “all."  Now consider what that means.

1 Timothy 2:4 says “... who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

I realize that there are those who believe that there is a select or predestined group that is to be saved, but with all respect, I believe He wants “all” to be saved!  It just doesn’t fit the character of God that He predestines some to hell.  No he wants “all” to be saved!

Let’s pray today that God will use us to spread the good news of the gospel that is for all!
